STANDARDIZATION
DEA-PS
The Standardization Department is leading the deployment of
stand-alone design and variety reduction. With its Nissan counterpart in Alliance Engineering, the Department develops and rolls out the Components Commonality strategy during the ACM (Alliance Commodity Meeting).
DID YOU KNOW ?
The first ACMs (Alliance Commodity Meetings) were presented in 2008! In 2017,
the ACMs covered 85% of
bought out parts (BOP).
Standardization enables us
to focus our resources on a limited
variety of components and to focus
on innovations with high added value
for the customer. Due to the scale effect that
it generates, standardization requires us
to be demanding and to have a strong
procedure that guarantees irreproachable
quality with regard to our customers.

STANDARDIZATION
THE MISSIONS OF DEA-PS
Definition of
STANDARDIZATION
The standardization process consists of systematically building a transversal technical and purchasing strategy based on sets of standard parts called variants. The ultimate goal is to deploy them on all vehicles, units, and platforms of Renault, Nissan, and Mitsubishi by optimising diversity.
