What is a
COMMON MODULE FAMILY
A "Common Module Family" is a family of platforms covering one or more segments and sharing common "Big Modules". This approach increases the effects of scale and reduces the cost of developing new vehicles.
What is
COMMONALITY
Commonality consists of sharing sets of standard parts known as modules on a large number of vehicles, components, and platforms in the Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi ranges.
